If you want your wedding cake to be the ultimate centerpiece, look no further than Ben the Cake Man, whose incredible designs range from simple stacked cakes to elaborate creations finished with fresh or handcrafted sugar flowers. Ben is an amazing artist with a keen eye for detail, and we are incredibly proud to count him as a member of the Roxy & Rich family.

Ben has spent the bulk of his life exploring his love of baking and expressing himself through ambitious creations. Having cultivated an eager and dedicated following over the years, Ben has worked hard to build his sterling reputation, managing to exceed his own high standards without ever straying from the affable, easy-going nature that has always defined him.

Among his list of achievements are his multiple awards for his work as a chef, beginning twenty years ago when he was crowned Best Young Chef of the Year. More recently, Ben was listed as one of Cake Masters Magazine’s Top 10 Cake Artists and was nominated for the Cake Masters Rising Star Award in 2019. He has also judged several Cake International competitions over the years and was thrilled to become a Senior Judge in 2017.

Ben’s work has appeared in a variety of industry magazines as well as on local and national television. He recently appeared as a judge on Kirsty’s Handmade Christmas, which he tells us was one of his absolute favorite experiences!

As an ambassador for some of the cake world’s most popular brands, Ben was very excited to be asked to represent Roxy & Rich once again. After asking Ben what enticed him about being a Roxy & Rich ambassador, he pointed to the great success he has experienced with our wide range products, particularly the variety of colours and finishes that have become a staple of his work.

“There is always a friendly person on the end of an email to answer questions or give advice, and this really does make a difference. Being an ambassador for a company that really cares about its products, its service, and its customers is a real honour and certainly not something to be taken lightly in such a competitive sector. I genuinely think that some of their products are the best on the market and, if there is one thing I would grab in a fire, it would be their gold highlighter dust which is far beyond any other brand I have used.”

Covid has affected us all in different ways over the past year, but thankfully Ben has been able to carve out an opportunity to experiment and push himself harder than ever to create new things and develop his teaching skills. We are privileged and eager to continue our relationship with Ben and to support his unmatched artistry.
